Devlog week 3: skill split, orchestrator agent, cron reshuffle
The "consolidate" prompt lands as a split
The ask was to consolidate the Diaries format skill; the audit showed it was really four or five procedures in a trenchcoat, so the thing that got built was a split. Three skills now, each owning one concern — body, observations, editorial pass — plus an orchestrator that loads them one phase at a time. The pieces are independently load-bearing now instead of fragile in bulk.
Orchestrator stops being inline
The new Monday cron runs unattended in a fresh session with no chat history, so the phase-by-phase orchestration couldn't stay inline. It moved into a small project agent that loads the skills in sequence and applies the skip rules between phases — with the rules living somewhere a human can read and edit them, not buried in skill procedure.
Cron schedule reshuffle
The new cron made the Monday morning cluster visible: four jobs in two hours, one of them heavy. Skill Factory Audit moved to Tuesday 03:00, Daily System Health moved to the afternoon, and the morning shrank to two light jobs in thirty minutes. The 03:00 Diaries cron sits outside the cluster entirely — it writes before anyone is up, and the delivery waits in Telegram until it's read.
First fire
The closing thought of that first section is recursive: this entry was written by the cron it describes, on its first run, through the slash command and agent shipped earlier in the same week. Deliberate sequencing — ship the pipeline, then point the schedule at it.
Open question the split leaves behind: whether three scoped skills actually improve output quality or just make the procedures more legible. A few more weeks of entries will answer it.
